Severe weather is likely today across Southeast Texas with thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds, hail and heavy rainfall.

A strong storm system will intensify, bringing a dryline and a cold front to North Texas. As this system interacts with the warm, moist air from the Gulf, thunderstorms will become more widespread. The storms could bring heavy rainfall, large hail, and strong winds, and a tornado threat.

The National Weather Service has highlighted our entire area with an "enhanced" risk for severe weather - this generally means a very high chance for storms that could produce hail and/or damaging winds.
