On Saturday, May 10, the Golden State Warriors fell to a 102-97 defeat against the Minnesota Timberwolves. It was the second game the Warriors were without Stephen Curry, who is dealing with a grade one hamstring strain.

There was a line of thinking that Jimmy Butler didn't put his foot on the gas in Golden State's Game 2 loss to the Timberwolves because he was saving up his energy for Game 3 at home, when the Warriors were likely to have their best shot to steal the one win they need in this series to stay afloat until Stephen Curry can potentially get back.

Steve Kerr spoke with reporters on Sunday and admitted he pretty much has no choice. The Warriors head coach wants to get Jimmy Butler more rest, but how can he? Stephen Curry is out, and Butler is the main offensive force Golden State has. Kerr quickly clarified that rest isn't Butler's concern.
