Sheffield United have completed the signing of defender Rob Holding from Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the season. The Athletic previously reported that the 29-year-old defender was attracting interest from the Championship side.

Crystal Palace issued an extremely blunt statement while announcing Rob Holding's deadline day transfer. Holding joined the Eagles from Arsenal in September 2023 for a fee of £4 million, signing a three-year deal.

The 29-year-old has played only once for Crystal Palace since signing from Arsenal in 2023 for £4m. In October, Palace manager Oliver Glasner said Holding was training individually following a disagreement.
