PITTSBURGH — Gene Lamont is back where he once belonged. The Pittsburgh Pirates are bringing back their former manager as a special adviser to current manager Don Kelly.

The Pittsburgh Pirates added Chris Truby and Gene Lamont to skipper Don Kelly's coaching staff on Friday. The staff has been in flux since the team fired manager Derek Shelton on May 8, just over one month into his sixth season with the team.
