Oscar Piastri won an action-packed Formula 1 race full of wheel-to-wheel battles Sunday, extending his championship lead over fellow McLaren driver Lando Norris, who finished in second place.

The win marks Piastri's fourth of the season after he picked up wins at the Heineken Chinese Grand Prix in March and the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix and SRC Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in April. The 24-year-old Australian has now doubled his win total from a year ago.

Piastri is the first McLaren driver to win three consecutive F1 races in 28 years. Mika Hakkinen did it with a win in the 1997 season finale and then victories in the first two races of 1998.
