After being deported from the United States, a group of Indian nationals was sent back from Amritsar Airport following a thorough investigation. The deportation comes as part of ongoing scrutiny of visa holders and immigration procedures in the US.

A US Air Force plane carrying Indian citizens who allegedly illegally migrated to the USA landed in Amritsar, Punjab, yesterday. Those Indian citizens, primarily from Gujarat, were then transported from Amritsar to Ahmedabad airport.
