The Rays will be without Yandy Diaz, one of their top hitters, for the three-game series in Toronto that starts Tuesday night. The veteran DH was unable to accompany the team to Canada because he did not have a valid passport. The team said there was a delay in the renewal process of his passport that was not able to be expedited.

The Tampa Bay Rays potentially have one of the best offensive lineups in MLB. Their lack of run-scoring abilities, though, is causing Rays manager Kevin Cash to look for some type of boost. “We’ve got to find a way to score more runs,’’ Cash said on Sunday following a Tampa Bay 4-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers.
