There are Friday games in Week 1 and on the day after Thanksgiving. There are three Christmas games on a Thursday. There are late-season Saturday games. An 18-game regular season could be coming within the next few years. For now, it remains a 17-game season over 18 weeks.

The league didn't have to pick the Chiefs, but it did. That came despite avoiding a divisional game in every other international matchup this season and a long history of doing so.

The NFL released its full 272-game schedule Wednesday. Here's a look at the most interesting matchup in each of the 18 weeks.

The Denver Broncos (.505) have the 15th-hardest strength of schedule in the NFL going into the 2025 season. Elsewhere in the AFC West, the Kansas City Chiefs (.522) and Los Angeles Chargers (.522) are tied with the 11th-hardest schedules. The Las Vegas Raiders (.502) are middle-of-the-pack with the 16th-hardest schedule.

Home and away opponents have been set for the 2025-26 NFL season since the conclusion of last season, but the timing of each of those matchups (as well as bye weeks) remains uncertain. That all changes this week, as the NFL is set to release the schedule for the 2025 season in several installments, leading up to the final reveal on Wednesday.
