Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Microsoft will host its first Xbox Developer_ Direct of 2025 on Jan. 23. The program offers players previews of new video games coming to Xbox Series X/S, PC and Game Pass, along with a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the upcoming releases.

Microsoft is looking to improve its Windows operating system on handheld PCs such as the Asus ROG Ally X and Lenovo Legion Go by making the software more like an Xbox console.

Microsoft will once again hold a Xbox Developer Direct to kick off the new year, with deep dives into a small selection of upcoming Xbox Game Studios titles. Xbox's next livestream will begin at 6pm UK time (that's 1pm Eastern or 10am Pacific) on Thursday, 23rd January - that's a fortnight from today.

Xbox has revealed that its next Developer Direct will take place on January 23 and include deep dives into South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Doom: The Dark Ages and another new game.
