Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd recently said that the team does not currently have a “number one option” amid all of the injuries. Kidd praised Thompson, but said the Mavs need to “create opportunities” for the future Hall of Famer.

Despite all of Dallas’ struggles on and off the court over the last month, the Mavericks still control their own destiny. Dallas enters the season’s final month on a four-game losing streak and without seven players.
