The Hoosiers improved to 3-4 against Quad 1 opponents by shutting down a late rally from Washington (13-8; 4-5). The Huskies trailed by 14 points before going on an 11-0 run in the fourth quarter while holding IU without any field goals for more than four minutes.

Junior guard Yarden Garzon has been a key player through the three-game stretch for Indiana. After her 21-point performance against Iowa on Jan. 13, Garzon has been quiet. She scored just one basket against Illinois on Jan. 16 before she shot 17.6% and 28.6% from the field against USC and Oregon, respectively.
The 35 points by Garzon were the most in a game by an IU player since Amanda Cahill scored 38 in a quadruple-overtime win against Michigan State in the 2018 Big Ten tournament in Indianapolis. The Hoosiers led by as many as nine in the first half but went cold in the second quarter, which allowed the Huskies to claim a 31-29 halftime lead.
