It's a new day in NXT as both Oba Femi & Giulia captured the brand's ultimate prizes Tuesday night at New Year's Evil.

In the opening match of NXT New Year’s Evil in Los Angeles, Giulia kicked off the new year by defeating Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s title. This ends Perez’s 274 day reign with the title after defeating Lyra Valkyria at NXT Stand and Deliver last April.

WWE NXT drew its highest total viewership in five years with the NXT New Year’s Evil special. Wrestlenomics (via Variety) reports that 957,000 viewers tuned in on Tuesday. This marks NXT’s highest total viewership since September 25th,
