Yankees ace Max Fried settled into a groove on the mound, pitching six innings of one-run ball to earn the win. He’s now 5-0 this season with a 1.43 ERA, the sixth-lowest ERA of any qualified pitcher in MLB as of Sunday afternoon.

Toronto's Kevin Gausman was ejected after a 56-pitch inning -- the most by an MLB pitcher in an inning since 2022 -- in which he had five walks vs. the Yankees.
