Capcom has confirmed the global release times for Monster Hunter Wilds. Generally, players can play Monster Hunter Wilds on console (PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X and S) from 12am on Friday, 28 February local time and on PC later in the day.

"With the best combat and narrative in a 20-year series of action RPGs, Monster Hunter Wilds is the new peak of Monster Hunter, only further enlivened by a colorful cast of monsters that defies longtime design conventions," we said.

Capcom's transition away from a silent protagonist is one of Wilds' best changes. For a game mostly about bashing monster skulls and making cool armor out of them, Monster Hunter Wilds also sports the most cohesive and engaging narrative the series has ever seen.
