Stock futures are slightly higher Thursday as the market looks to rebound from a couple of lackluster days, with investors awaiting important economic data releases and a speech by Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.

Retail sales, plus another inflation report, are this week's main remaining economic data releases. Plus, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell is set to speak on the economic outlook, and there are a few earnings still on the slate.

U.S. stocks ended lower on Monday, as investors await the too-close-to-call presidential election on Tuesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average went down 257.59 points or 0.6% to end at 41794.60, according to Dow Jones Market Data. The S&P 500 fell 16.11 points or 0.3% to close at 5712.69.

Global stocks dipped on Tuesday after five straight sessions of gains while the dollar touched its highest level in over four months as investors gauge the impact of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's likely policies on growth and inflation.
