Coco Gauff had roughly one month off after winning the 2024 WTA Finals. The 20-year-old has not missed a beat in 2025. Earlier today, Gauff defeated Poland's Iga Swiatek to help win the United Cup for Team USA.

Coco Gauff overcame second-ranked Iga Swiatek 6-4, 6-4 in the opening singles of the United Cup mixed teams tennis event and the United States went on to win the final by beating Poland 2-0. Taylor Fritz beat Hubert Hurkacz 6-4,

Coco Gauff won a set over Iga Swiatek in bizarre fashion after the Polish ace was left red-faced over a number of unforced errors in the pair’s United Cup clash. Poland had reached back-to-back United Cup finals following a convincing victory over Kazakhstan at the event in Sydney.
