Geno Smith has had quite the year for the Seattle Seahawks. He’s third in the league in passing yards per game, trailing only Joe Burrow and Jared Goff, and is one of just four starters in the NFL completing more than 70% of their passes, all while leading the Seahawks to a 5-1 record against NFC West competition to keep them in playoff contention.

The Seattle Seahawks faced an important game against the Bears in a Thursday night battle. And while quarterback Geno Smith seemed to be laser-focused on the opponent, he is not the long-term answer at quarterback for the Seahawks.

Geno Smith's knee injury forced him out of action Sunday night and appeared serious enough to cause legitimate concern entering Week 16. As time has passed, though, things have taken a turn toward optimism.
