The NHL playoffs continued on Wednesday with the Maple Leafs earning a hard-fought win against the Panthers to take a 2-0 series lead, while the Stars edged the Jets in their series opener.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have taken a 2-0 series lead over the Florida Panthers with a 4-3 win in Game 2. A back-and-forth contest saw the Panthers take early leads of 1-0 and 2-1, but goals from William Nylander and Max Domi in the second period gave the Leafs their first lead of the night.

Mackie Samoskevich moved up to the second line with Sam Bennett and Matthew Tkachuk to begin the third period. Evan Rodrigues as a result has dropped to the fourth line with Nico Sturm and Jesper Boqvist. The Maple Leafs have their first lead of the game, 3-2, with 2:51 left in the second period. Max Domi scored off the rush.
