The National Weather Service on Friday warned that potentially strong tornadoes may develop on Saturday over the lower to middle Mississippi and Tennessee valleys. Lightning, wind gusts of at least 74 mph and hail of at least two inches will accompany the outbreak over parts of the valleys and Southeast through Sunday.

A powerful strom system is forecast to sweep the south Friday and into the weekend, spreading the threat for severe weather all across portions of the US.

St. Patrick’s Day parade and festival, which usually attracts more than 120,000 people, will take place on Saturday, March 15. The parade will happen between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. As a result, there will be full street closures along this route.

Over 7,000 people are expected to attend the St. Patrick's Day Parade in downtown Colorado Springs on Saturday.
