Netgear just announced the Orbi 870, a new Wi-Fi 7 mesh system that joins its now-three-tier lineup of Wi-Fi 7 mesh routers. It’s pricey like the others, but at $1,299.99 for a three-pack, it’s a full thousand dollars cheaper than the next kit up, the quad-band Orbi 970.

Today at CES, Netgear announced a new Wi-Fi 7 mesh router that neatly slots between its existing Orbi 770 and Orbi 970 product lines. As you might have already surmised, the new mesh system is conveniently called the Orbi 870.

Launched at CES 2025, the new mesh system isn't cheap, but it supports the Wi-Fi 7 standard and works with a new built-in VPN and ad-blocking service from Netgear.
