Jaime Esparza, a longtime El Paso criminal justice public servant, stepped down from his position as U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas.

Jaime Esparza has “departed” as the U.S. attorney for the Western District of Texas, the office announced on Tuesday, Feb. 18. The office provided few details about why Esparza has left the office, but it is customary for U.
