For a second season in a row in St. Louis, the Cardinals and Mets had a game wiped out by rain. And for a second time this week, the Cardinals are preparing to play a doubleheader because of inclement weather.

The Saturday game between the New York Mets and the Cardinals in St. Louis was rained out Saturday, with the makeup scheduled for Sunday in a split doubleheader. Game 1 will be played at 12:15 p.m. with the second game scheduled for 5:15 p.

The Mets have a nine-game winning streak in the series after beating St. Louis 9-3 on Friday night. New York swept a four-game set at Citi Field last month, and Sunday’s games are the last two in the season series.
