So you went to Yellowstone in the winter? We want to go the first week in March and are not sure how much there is to do or how many days we should fly out for. What all did you do?

We traveled in July when weather was pleasant. We covered almost all major places in 3 days time. This was possible since the daylight hours were more in July when sun would set around 8.30 to 8.45 p.m. We used to reach the park around 8-8.30 am and be inside the park till almost 8.30-9 p.m. I would say that at least 3 to 4 days are required to comfortably cover all major places since some geyser trails can take up to 3 to 4 hours each. This is if you do not plan to go on hikes. We covered all places by car and did not go on hikes. Also, if you are travelling to the park from Salt Lake city airport, consider one more day since it takes nearly 5 to 6 hours to drive to park from airport.
