Lovely medium size zoo. Well set out with easy to navigate paths and picturesque exhibits.. Animals are well cared for with a wonderful eco-friendly focus. Took us around 3 leisurely hours to wand…Full review by Temac1970
I don't think there are any tours for the zoo. It's not that big. They have certain "talks" during the day where the zookeepr showcases the animals (check out the website for times).

There are a number of buses that take you from central Auckland (if that's where you're leaving from) along the Great North Road and a single fare is I think 4 NZ dollars. They take about 15-20 minutes and can drop you off at the corner of Motions Road. From there it's a five-minute walk.
